Free Agency Moves

The Commanders are expected to be aggressive in free agency pursuing players at edge rusher, receiver and corner. The Patriots will release Stefon Diggs after one season, saving cap space and putting the WR position back in question. The Vikings are expected to release Jonathan Allen as they continue to whittle down their salary cap deficit and reduce their cash commitments. The Steelers are releasing veteran tight end Jonnu Smith, who arrived in Pittsburgh via a trade with the Dolphins last summer.

Player Updates

Browns star Myles Garrett was issued a citation for speeding - his ninth since entering the NFL in 2017 - after he was clocked going 94 mph in a 70 mph zone. Aaron Rodgers says he remains undecided on his playing status for next season despite the Steelers hiring Mike McCarthy, with whom he won a Super Bowl in Green Bay. The Bucs are waiting for two of their most impactful players in team history while the coach and GM open up in Indy.

Roster Changes

The last time the Chiefs traded away a player of Trent McDuffie's caliber, they went to three straight Super Bowls. Former Green Bay Packers special teams coordinator Rich Bisaccia will take on the same role at the college ranks with Clemson. The Arizona Cardinals will take on the Carolina Panthers in the annual Hall of Fame exhibition game on Aug. 6 as part of enshrinement week, with Cardinals legend Larry Fitzgerald and Panthers great Luke Kuechly to be inducted.
