Investors moved to pull another $4.2 billion from two Blue Owl Capital private-credit funds as redemption requests remained well above the typical 5% cap. Blue Owl Credit Income Corp. reported estimated third-quarter redemption requests of 16.8% of shares, or $3.1 billion, down from 18.8% in Q2 and 21.9% in Q1. The tech-focused Blue Owl Technology Income Corp. saw requests at 39% of shares, or $1.1 billion, up from 38.1% in Q2 but down from 40.4% in Q1.
The fund noted tender demand was stable quarter-over-quarter but elevated relative to the broader non-trading BDC industry due to its specialized mandate. Both funds said they would redeem only 5% of requests, the industry standard. Last month, Blackstone’s flagship private-credit fund reported requests for about 10% of shares, or $4.3 billion, while Cliffwater’s largest fund saw requests near 16% of shares.
Both Blackstone and Cliffwater also limited payouts to 5%.
