NVIDIA announced a $3.5 billion investment in MediaTek and a deepened collaboration through the NVLink Fusion ecosystem. MediaTek designed the GB10 SoC powering NVIDIA's RTX Spark consumer products and DGX Spark mini workstations. The partnership allows non-NVIDIA processors to join NVIDIA's data center fabric via NVLink Fusion, supporting photonic and copper interconnects.

MediaTek will offer the platform to ASIC clients like Google, enabling XPU connectivity. The collaboration also includes NVIDIA's NVHBM memory technology, claimed to deliver 30% more bandwidth and 15% lower power consumption versus standard HBM4E. Furthermore, NVIDIA purchased $3.5 billion in convertible bonds from MediaTek, potentially converting to significant equity.

This alliance streamlines ASIC development through MediaTek's integrated design and manufacturing services.
