Sam Hutchinson's career spans from Chelsea's youth academy to non-league Farnham Town. A product of Chelsea's system, he debuted under Jose Mourinho and won the Champions League in Munich in 2012. However, a chronic knee injury and subsequent depression forced his retirement at 21.

After treatment at the Priory and knee surgery, he made a remarkable comeback. Hutchinson enjoyed a prolific Championship career, notably with Sheffield Wednesday, and had overseas spells in the Netherlands and Cyprus. Now 37, he signed a two-year contract with non-league Farnham Town this summer.

Earlier this year, he suffered a major health scare during an AFC Wimbledon match. While scoring against Grimsby, Hutchinson experienced severe chest pain and dizziness. The team coach was diverted to a hospital in Nottingham, where he was transferred to a cardiac unit.

Medics revealed his blood levels had spiked dangerously, stating he had been saved. sixteen years after fearing his career was over, Hutchinson remains passionate about the sport he loves.
