Dante Moore led a second-half surge, but the game remained tied entering the fourth. A 62-yard touchdown pass to Dakorien Moore gave Oregon the lead for good. Despite outgaining the Broncos by nearly 200 yards, the Ducks committed self-inflicted errors and lost the turnover battle.

Coach Dan Lanning called the contest a "wake-up call" after his team failed to start fast. The win mirrors Oregon's 2024 opener against the same opponent, which sparked an undefeated regular season and a Big Ten title. Quarterback Dante Moore acknowledged the team still has much to learn.
