Xiaomi unveiled the Xiaomi 18 Pro and 18 Pro Max in China yesterday and confirmed today that both phones will launch globally later this year. Xiaomi's CMO, Xu Fei, announced the global rollout in a video posted on X, stating the "Xiaomi 18 Pro Series is going global this year—with more surprises." However, a discrepancy emerged as the Xiaomi India account on X only referenced the 18 Pro, suggesting the 18 Pro Max may not be available in India initially, though it is expected in other global markets. The Xiaomi 18 Pro features a 6.4-inch LTPO AMOLED display with 1120x2436 resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, and 4,000-nit peak brightness, plus a 2.7-inch rear LTPO AMOLED screen.

It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 chipset, with 12/16GB RAM and 256GB/512GB/1TB storage options. Camera specs include a 200MP main sensor with OIS, a 200MP periscope telephoto with 3.2x optical zoom, a 50MP ultrawide, and a 50MP selfie camera. It houses a 7,000 mAh battery supporting 100W wired and 50W wireless charging, runs Android 17 with Hyper OS 4, and has an IP68 rating.

The Xiaomi 18 Pro Max offers a larger 6.9-inch display (1208x2624 resolution), a 2.9-inch rear screen, the Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 SoC, and an 8,500 mAh battery.
