Stonepeak and Energy Equation Partners have agreed to buy Poland’s independent fuel marketer, Anwim. The acquisition adds the MOYA network—over 540 sites—to the firms’ portfolio. The purchase, valued at an undisclosed sum, will be funded with cash and debt. It follows a venture launched in December 2025 when the pair took a stake in JET Tankstellen Deutschland, a leading retailer in Germany and Austria.

Anwim ranks as Poland’s third‑largest and fastest‑growing fuel chain, moving roughly significantly 3bn litres of product annually. Its network supplies private motorists, multinational fleets, transport operators and franchisees, positioning the company at the centre of the country’s fuel logistics chain. Control of this distribution hub gives the new owners a direct line to both retail and wholesale markets.

The transaction deepens Stonepeak’s exposure to Central‑European energy distribution while giving Energy Equation a foothold in a market dominated by state‑linked players. Investors will watch how the combined platform leverages economies of scale to improve margins across the supply chain. The deal signals continued consolidation in the region’s fuel sector, cementing the buyers’ strategic push beyond Germany.
