Permira, alongside Canada Pension Plan Investment Board, has completed its £2.7bn acquisition of JTC, taking ownership of one of the fastest-growing platforms in fund administration and trust services. The buyout firm has deployed roughly €16bn of equity in the wider services sector over four decades, including through Alter Domus, Tricor, and Kroll.

JTC sits at the centre of long-term growth across private capital and global wealth management, spanning both its Institutional Capital Services and Private Capital Services businesses. Building on its European roots, the company has established a leadership position in US trust services and increasingly functions as critical infrastructure for family offices, wealth managers, and financial institutions handling the multi-decade transfer of wealth between generations. To date, JTC has paired sustained double-digit organic growth with a disciplined acquisition strategy that has widened both its capabilities and its geographic reach.

Robin Bell-Jones, Partner, Services at Permira, said the firm was backing the business at a pivotal moment. "We are delighted to have completed our investment in JTC and to be partnering with Nigel and the wider team at this exciting stage," he said. Under Permira's ownership, JTC plans to step up investment in next-generation technology, AI-enabled delivery, and intelligent automation, while pursuing an ambitious acquisition programme concentrated on North America and Europe. Nigel Le Quesne added that with Permira as partner, JTC is well positioned to deliver its Genesis era business plan, aiming to double the size of the Group once again. Permira has signalled it will preserve JTC's culture of shared ownership.
