KKR has closed its record‑setting $19.2 bn infrastructure fund, known as Fund V, with almost half of the capital already committed at the time of the final close. The fund’s hard cap was reached after securing over $9 bn in commitments, demonstrating strong investor appetite for long‑dated infrastructure assets.

The committed portfolio comprises a diverse set of projects including Sempra Infrastructure, Enilive, Fiber Cop, Metronet, Gulf Data Hub, Global Technical Realty, EDF power solutions North America, Altitude III, and The Parking Spot. These investments span data centres, fibre‑optic networks, and power generation facilities across multiple geographies.

Data centres, fibre, and power generation dominate the fund’s exposure, reflecting where infrastructure managers currently see the best combination of contracted cash flow and structural demand growth. KKR’s focus on these sectors aims to deliver stable returns while supporting the expansion of critical digital and energy infrastructure.

The final close marks one of the largest single‑vehicle infrastructure funds raised in recent years, underscoring KKR’s ability to attract capital amid a competitive fundraising environment. With nearly half the fund already allocated, the remaining capital will be deployed into similar high‑quality, cash‑generating assets.
