Partners Group has successfully closed its fourth direct infrastructure programme, raising over $15 billion. This figure surpasses its predecessor by more than 50%, marking it as the firm's largest infrastructure fundraise to date. The programme combines a closed-end fund with customized investment solutions, attracting capital from a diverse global investor base including pension plans, sovereign wealth funds, and insurance companies.

This success is attributed to the strategy's strong performance, boasting a net total value to paid-in multiple of 2.2 times and a net internal rate of return of 20.8% from 21 realized exits. Esther Peiner, Global Head of Infrastructure, highlighted investor demand for stable, inflation-protected returns offered by infrastructure assets. Partners Group's thematic approach focuses on mid-market companies with significant value creation potential, leveraging operational improvements and acquisitions.

The programme is already over 40% committed across 11 assets, with initial investments in power generation, energy security, and AI-supporting infrastructure. Examples include Life Cycle Power, a US mobile power generation provider, and Digital Halo, a Singapore-based data centre platform. The fund also backs green flexibility, a German developer of large-scale battery energy storage systems. This substantial fundraise positions infrastructure on par with Partners Group's flagship buyout franchise.
