GenNx360 Capital Partners has made the first acquisition on its NVI platform, buying Gulf Coast inspection specialist Barracuda Specialty Services. NVI, based in Gray, Louisiana, is a national provider of testing, inspection, integrity, and program management services across energy infrastructure, data centres, industrial manufacturing, power generation, and marine end markets.

Barracuda, headquartered in Houma, Louisiana, with operations in Gonzales, Louisiana, and Humble and Midland, Texas, brings conventional and advanced nondestructive testing methods, distinguished by its rope access work, serving petrochemical, midstream, and industrial manufacturing customers along the Gulf Coast. "NVI's acquisition of Barracuda is an important addition to the platform, adding scale and depth across the core Gulf Coast market while expanding the platform's rope access capabilities," said Pratik Rajeevan, a Partner at GenNx360.

Founded in 2006, GenNx360 targets proven business models in expanding industries and layers operational improvement onto rapid buy-and-build strategies, with testing and inspection among its core target sectors.
