Each mood maps to a grid of body battery and stress levels, triggering unique sprite animations. The app, coded in Garmin’s MonkeyC, updates every minute and stores over 110 pre‑rendered images. As neglect points climb, the pet evolves through Egg, Blob, Pup, Mutt, and Elder stages each month for users.

By visualizing health data, Garmigotchi turns passive tracking into daily motivation, nudging users to sleep better, move more, and manage stress. The project showcases how gamified feedback can improve wellness habits, a trend Garmin and other wearables are exploring to keep consumers engaged beyond basic metrics for long term health.
