Warrington Wolves rediscovered early-season form to dominate reigning champions Hull KR 34-6 at Halliwell Jones Stadium, moving within two points of second place. After three defeats in four games, Wire made light of play-off doubts with tries from Lachlan Webster, James Harrison, Matty Ashton (two) and Danny Walker for a 22-0 half-time lead.

Joe Philbin celebrated his return from injury with a second-half try before Oliver Gildart responded for the Robins. Ashton then claimed his 100th and 101st club tries, while Mikey Lewis was sin-binned for a late challenge. James Batchelor added a late consolation for Hull KR.

Defeat leaves the Robins, who have lost three of their last four, in danger of falling out of the top six. Coach Willie Peters had conceded beforehand that another loss would likely end their League Leaders' Shield defence. Warrington's Toafofoa Sipley also impressed with a line break setting up Walker's score.
