Wales scrum-half Kieran Hardy, 30, faces a race to be fit for the 2027 World Cup in Australia after undergoing surgery for a serious knee injury sustained in the URC win over Dragons at Rodney Parade.
Ospreys head coach Mark Jones confirmed Hardy will miss the remainder of the season but hopes he can recover in time for the tournament starting in October 2027. "It is a serious knee injury which has needed surgery... We are definitely not going to see him this season," Jones said.
Hardy has been a regular deputy for Tomos Williams at international level. Meanwhile, Ospreys teammate Reuben Morgan-Williams and uncapped Dragons scrum-half Che Hope have been named in Steve Tandy's squad for the Nations Championship in November.
