Former Wimbledon champion Marketa Vondrousova has filed an appeal with the Court of Arbitration for Sport (Cas) against her four‑year ban for refusing an out‑of‑competition doping test. The International Tennis Integrity Agency (ITIA) charged the 27‑year‑old in December 2025 after she denied a doping control officer entry to her home; the suspension was issued in June and is scheduled to end on 21 June 2030. Cas confirmed receipt of the appeal but has not set a hearing date.

Vondrousova, who became the first unseeded player to win Wimbledon’s women’s singles in 2023, said she was at "breaking point" and feared for her safety when the officer arrived at her home at 20:00 on 3 December, claiming the officer failed to identify properly or follow protocol. She signed a refusal form after walking her dog, yet a tribunal found she offered "no compelling justification" for the refusal or a reduced ban.
