Trent Rockets secured their knockout-stage spot with a commanding nine-wicket victory over MI London at The Oval. Chasing 122, England captain Nat Sciver-Brunt struck an unbeaten 67 off 36 balls, including nine fours and a six, for her first half-century of this year's tournament and 11th overall in The Hundred.

She shared a tournament-record second-wicket stand of 118 with Australian Beth Mooney, who finished 54 not out off 44 balls, as the Rockets reached the target with 18 balls to spare. The win moves Rockets four points clear of Southern Brave, who face Manchester Super Giants later; the two sides meet in a final group match that could decide direct passage to the final.

Earlier, left-arm spinner Samantha Bates claimed 3-13 to restrict MI London to 121-5. Bates dismissed Hayley Matthews lbw for 10, then took two wickets in two balls — trapping top-scorer Kira Chathli lbw for 31 and having Nicola Carey stumped by Mooney. A hat-trick chance was overturned on review. Alice Monaghan (27*) and Chinelle Henry (27*) added an unbroken 54 to give MI a respectable total, but Rockets cruised home.
