Australia flanker Tom Hooper has signed a contract extension with Exeter Chiefs that will keep him at the club until summer 2028. However, the 25-year-old will then return to his native Australia to join the Queensland Reds for the 2029 Super Rugby Pacific season, with his commitment extending to 2030.

Hooper has had a standout debut season in England, contributing to Exeter's run to the Gallagher Premiership final and their third-place league finish. He also played a role in the team's European Challenge Cup semi-final appearance. His previous contract was set to expire at the end of the 2026-27 season.

"I'm really happy to have my long-term future secured with a move back to Australia in the not-too-distant future," Hooper stated. His immediate focus remains on his contributions with the Wallabies and continuing his development at Exeter before his eventual move back home.
