Ireland international Orla Prendergast took 4-18 as Welsh Fire beat Manchester Super Giants by three wickets at Old Trafford. Playing only her second Hundred match after arriving as an injury replacement, the seamer tore through the Super Giants' top-order, leaving the hosts at 24-4. Prendergast dismissed captain Meg Lanning for a golden duck and claimed a total of four wickets to restrict the hosts to 85-9.

Welsh Fire reached 27 in their reply before losing key openers. Sophie Ecclestone proved vital with the ball, taking 3-14 to include the wickets of Freya Kemp and Prendergast. Georgia Wareham also fell to Ecclestone, who dismissed her England teammate for 17.

Heather Graham guided Fire to a nervy victory, hitting an unbeaten 16 to reach the target with nine balls to spare. The win moved Fire above Leeds Sunrisers into fourth place, leaving the Super Giants in third.
