Sunrisers Leeds secured their first win of The Hundred 2026, defeating Southern Brave by five runs at Headingley. After a seven-wicket loss to MI London in their opener, Sunrisers bounced back with a hard-fought victory, while Brave remain winless after two matches.

Asked to bat first, Mitchell Marsh and Ryan Rickelton gave Sunrisers a flying start. The Australian reached a blistering half-century in only 26 balls, capitalising on a wayward set from Luke Wood that went for 28 runs and included four free hits. Sunrisers raced to 102 without loss at the halfway stage.

Adil Rashid slowed the scoring with three wickets, including Marsh for 69 (34). Sunrisers finished on 187-5. In reply, Mc Kinney (44 off 23) and Stubbs (42* off 20) kept Brave in contention, but Abrar's 2-33 helped restrict them to 182-5.
