St Helens claimed a narrow 20-18 victory over Leigh Leopards in a tense Super League clash at the BrewDog Stadium. The win marked Saints' first home game under new head coach Paul Rowley, bouncing back from their opening-round loss to Warrington Wolves. Leigh led 16-12 at halftime but couldn't hold off a determined Saints comeback.

St Helens fought back through Daryl Clark and Kyle Feldt in the first half, with Jackson Hastings converting one try and adding a penalty. The Leopards had built their lead through tries from Josh Charnley, Innes Senior and Bailey Hodgson, with Adam Cook converting two. In the second half, Joe Shorrocks' converted try and another Hastings penalty gave Saints a 20-18 advantage, which they defended successfully for the final 20 minutes despite Leigh's pressure.

Meanwhile, Leeds Rhinos dominated York Knights with a commanding 46-14 victory at Headingley, running in eight tries as they prepared for their Las Vegas trip. James McDonnell, Maika Sivo, Lachlan Miller, Chris Hankinson, Ryan Hall, Brodie Croft, Harry Newman and Sivo again crossed for the Rhinos, with Jake Connor converting three. York's tries came from Paul Vaughan, Jordan Thompson and Scott Galeano, but they were outclassed by Brad Arthur's side in their Super League debut.
