Ricky Evans qualified for the Mr Vegas Grand Slam of Darts just a day after missing out on a World Championship spot via the Pro Tour. The 91-player Tour Card Holder qualifier at Leicester's Mattioli Arena decided the final 10 spots for the Wolverhampton event. Evans, enduring a difficult year, defeated Thomas Lovely, Willie O'Connor, and Cristo Reyes to book his place. He now faces the TCH Qualifier on November 30 to reach the World Championship at Ally Pally.
Niko Springer made an immediate return with a sensational 112.25 average, beating Stefaan Henderyck. Stephen Bunting, Bradley Brooks, and Joe Cullen also qualified with strong performances. Bunting, the 2023 semi-finalist, topped the averages with wins over Arno Merk, Callan Rydz, and Jimmy van Schie. Alan Soutar, Maik Kuivenhoven, Tom Sykes, Carl Sneyd, and Rusty-Jake Rodriguez also secured spots. Notable absentees included Michael van Gerwen, Gary Anderson, Peter Wright, and Raymond van Barneveld. The draw will be made on November 9.
