Scotland ended England's 13-match unbeaten run with a 31-20 victory in the Calcutta Cup, avenging their opening loss to Italy. The Scots dominated from the start, handing Steve Borthwick's side their first defeat in over a year and improving their record to six wins in the past nine meetings. Former Scotland international Johnnie Beattie called it a "special" performance that "humbled" England.

England's woes deepened as they suffered their fourth defeat in five Six Nations away matches. The team struggled after losing hat-trick hero Henry Arundell to an early red card, and Scotland capitalized with Huw Jones' eighth try against England - the most by any player in the Six Nations era. Ex-England scrum-half Matt Dawson said Scotland were "20 points better" and that England "were taken apart from minute one to minute 80."

France continued their Grand Slam pursuit with a record-breaking 54-12 demolition of Wales in Cardiff. The French side scored the most points ever against Wales, surpassing their 51-0 win at Wembley in 1998. Former Scotland back row John Barclay questioned whether anyone could stop the "free-flowing" French team, while winger Louis Bielle-Biarrey received praise for his all-round game.
