Rocky Flintoff earns recall to the England Under-19s squad for their upcoming series against South Africa, returning from the injury that ruled him out of the World Cup earlier this year. The 18-year-old all-rounder, son of former England star Andrew Flintoff, adds experience to a youthful side preparing for three one-day internationals and two Youth Tests.

Joining him is uncapped seamer Charlie Harmison, whose father Steve Harmison also represented England with distinction. The pair follow in famous footsteps, bringing cricketing pedigree to the junior ranks as England look to develop emerging talent.

Six players survive from the World Cup squad: Ralphie Albert, Ben Dawkins, Will Bennison, Ali Farooq, Alex French and James Minto. They provide continuity alongside new faces as the team prepares for the June 30 opener in Leicester, followed by matches at Scarborough and the Oval.

The series offers vital international experience for these young cricketers ahead of crucial development seasons. With both Flintoff and Harmison adding quality to the bowling and batting departments respectively, England will expect competitive performances against their South African counterparts.
