Paddy Pimblett breezed through Friday's weigh-in for his interim UFC lightweight title fight against Justin Gaethje, stepping on the scales at 154lbs. The Briton, on a seven-fight winning streak, declared it 'easy work' as he became the first fighter to weigh in for UFC 324 in Las Vegas.

Gaethje, the veteran American contender, followed, hitting the official 155lb limit for the main event. The weigh-in was marred by a separate incident, with bantamweight Cameron Smotherman fainting on stage after making weight, leading to the cancellation of his bout against Ricky Turcios.

For Pimblett, a victory over the former interim champion Gaethje would cement his rapid ascent in the division. The co-main events saw flyweight Alex Perez and bantamweight Deiveson Figueiredo miss weight, forfeiting 25% of their purses for their respective fights.
