British freestyle skier Kirsty Muir has made history by becoming the first British woman to win World Cup titles in both freeski slopestyle and overall park and pipe. The 21-year-old Scot's achievement comes after Olympic disappointment where she finished fourth in both slopestyle and big air at the Winter Games in Milan and Cortina last month.

Muir secured her first slopestyle Crystal Globe with 280 points after finishing second in the final event in Silvaplana, Switzerland with a score of 75.54. Combined with her third-place finish in big air (219 points), she amassed a total of 470 points in the overall competition, defeating nearest challenger Canada's Naomi Urness by a commanding margin of 78 points.

The Aberdonian's landmark victories demonstrate her remarkable resilience after coming agonizingly close to Olympic medals. Following her strong performance, the X Games champion expressed excitement to learn new tricks and push boundaries in the sport. With this historic achievement, Muir has firmly established herself as a dominant force in women's freestyle skiing.
