The Miami Heat mistakenly posted a YouTube link to a "introductory press conference" for NBA star LeBron James, despite him not yet deciding his next team. The link, scheduled for July 27, appeared on the Heat's channel before being removed.

A Heat spokesperson stated the video was posted in error by staff preparing for the possibility of James joining the team. James, who is 41 years old, announced his departure from the Los Angeles Lakers in June after eight seasons, during which he secured the 2020 NBA title. He previously played for the Heat from 2010 to 2014.

Last season with the Lakers, James averaged 20.9 points, 7.2 assists, and 6.1 rebounds. He holds NBA records for games played (1,622) and total points (43,440). A return to Miami would reunite him with new signing Giannis Antetokounmpo and Bam Adebayo, bolstering the Heat's roster for a title push. However, James' agent, Rich Paul, has emphasized that James will not be rushed into a decision.
