British stars Keely Hodgkinson and Josh Kerr are set to attempt world records at the Diamond League meeting at London Stadium on Saturday. Olympic champion Hodgkinson will target athletics' longest-standing individual track world record in the women's 800m at 15:51 BST. Kerr, the 2023 world 1500m champion, aims to break the men's mile world record at 15:36 BST.

Other notable British athletes competing include Zharnel Hughes (men's 100m), Dina Asher-Smith (women's 200m), and Matthew Hudson-Smith (men's 400m). Global stars such as pole vault world record holder Armand Duplantis and Emmanuel Wanyonyi will also participate. Live coverage will be available on BBC One and BBC iPlayer from 13:00 BST.

Hodgkinson, despite recent injury concerns and a frustrating season, is aiming to surpass Jarmila Kratochvilova's 1983 800m record. Kerr, holding the British mile record, is focused on bringing the mile world record back to the UK, a feat not achieved since 1999.
