Jake Paul Career in Doubt After Jaw Injury vs Anthony Joshua

Jake Paul admits his boxing career is "most definitely" in doubt after suffering a broken jaw in two places during his loss to Anthony Joshua in December. The YouTuber-turned-boxer went six rounds against the two-time world heavyweight champion before the bout was stopped when he failed to beat the count following repeated knockdowns in Miami.

Paul underwent surgery with two titanium plates fitted and had some teeth removed. He's awaiting new scans to assess the healing process and determine whether he'll be cleared to spar again. "Can I even fight again? That is definitely in the realm of possibility," Paul said on The Ariel Helwani Show.

The 29-year-old dropped out of the WBA's cruiserweight rankings following the defeat. Prior to facing Joshua, Paul's opponents were largely made up of boxers well past their prime or former mixed martial artists. His partner at Most Valuable Promotions, Nakisa Bidarian, had previously said Paul was eyeing a return to cruiserweight before the injury.
