Jack Draper Returns to Action at Eastbourne with Andy Murray as Coach

Jack Draper will end his three-month injury layoff at next week's Eastbourne tournament, with Andy Murray watching from his player box as the new coach. The British No. 2 hasn't competed since early April after suffering a knee injury in Barcelona, and needs match practice before Wimbledon begins on June 29.

Murray joined Draper's team last month, replacing Jamie Delgado in what could become a long-term arrangement. The three-time Grand Slam champion said he's been 'incredibly impressed' with Draper's practice sessions and believes the 24-year-old will win matches at the highest level once back to full fitness.

In contrast, Emma Raducanu opted against taking a wildcard despite reaching the Queen's final last week. She'll continue Wimbledon preparations on practice courts instead. Six other British players received wildcards for the combined ATP-WTA event.

Draper's career has stalled dramatically - just 11 matches in the past year led to a drop outside the world's top 100. After reaching the US Open semi-final and cracking the top five in that 18-month spell, the former world No. 4 now faces an uphill battle to recapture his best form before the grass-court season's biggest stage.
