Yet again, the England men's cricket team is dealing with a player involved in a late-night incident. Fast bowler [PERSON_NAME] was pictured in handcuffs outside a nightspot in [ADDRESS], with teammate [PERSON_NAME] and former captain [PERSON_NAME] in the images. Since Halloween last year, eight England players have been involved in similar incidents.

Of the 30 men on central contracts, more than a quarter have faced issues in the past 10 months. Four separate incidents have occurred, two involving punches and one a police matter. This follows new Test captain [PERSON_NAME]'s call for players to be 'really good role models'.

The incident occurred days after he urged better conduct, ahead of England's first Test against [ADDRESS]. [PERSON_NAME] was not arrested but released from the first-Test squad to play for [PERSON_NAME] away at [ADDRESS], with plans to report to Lord's for the second Test. As of Sunday evening, he remains in the squad. The ECB and Cricket Regulator are investigating.

Root previously abolished the midnight curfew and removed alcohol guidelines, sparking debate over player conduct and duty of care. Frustration grows within the ECB over repeated errors of judgement by high-profile players, with supporters questioning whether suspensions or squad omissions are needed to change behaviour.
