Richard Cooper claimed top honors in the opening qualifying sessions for both Superbike and Supersport classes at the North West 200. The Australian rider demonstrated consistent pace across multiple categories, establishing himself as the early favorite for the prestigious road racing event. Josh Brookes emerged as the fastest rider in the Superstock category, clocking an impressive 109.411mph. Harrison followed closely behind at 108.814mph, with John McGuinness, Dominic Herbertson, and Hickman completing the top five. Both Brookes and Harrison are competing for their inaugural wins at the North West 200, adding extra significance to their qualifying performances as they seek to break through at this challenging circuit.

Jeremy McWilliams dominated the Supertwin/Sportbike category with a commanding performance on his Yamaha R7, recording 105.163mph – 7.7 seconds faster than his nearest competitor. Jordan represented the closest challenge at 102.590mph, while Seeley claimed third position at 101.502mph. Michael Dunlop endured a difficult day after switching from his Ducati V4 to a Honda Fireblade, placing 12th in Supersports and 25th in Superstock, leaving him facing an uphill battle to qualify for the main races.
