Arthur Okonkwo has joined Charlton Athletic on a season-long loan from Wrexham. The 24-year-old goalkeeper has kept 46 clean sheets in 121 appearances for Wrexham since joining initially on loan in 2023 before making the move permanent a year later. He played 39 Championship games for Wrexham last season but was absent from their opening match against Cardiff City.

The Nigerian international becomes Charlton's eighth summer signing. Charlton managing director James Rodwell praised the acquisition, stating Okonkwo reflects the calibre of player the club is attracting during their second season back in the Championship. "He's an outstanding goalkeeper with proven ability," Rodwell said on the club website.

Okonkwo's experience in the Championship will provide valuable backup and competition for Charlton's goalkeeping position as they aim for promotion.
