Jos Buttler became the all-time leading run-scorer in T20 cricket as Manchester Super Giants defeated Welsh Fire by nine wickets in The Hundred at Old Trafford. Buttler surpassed Kieron Pollard's record of 14,803 runs by hitting three consecutive sixes. He finished with 51 not out from just 20 balls, including six sixes, to help Super Giants chase down a target of 156.

Earlier, Welsh Fire posted 155-4, with Matt Short scoring 71 and captain Phil Salt contributing 48. Their opening partnership of 125 was the highlight of their innings. Gus Atkinson was the pick of the bowlers for Fire with 2-12.

Manchester Super Giants reached their target with 31 balls to spare, thanks to Buttler's record-breaking knock and Tim Seifert's unbeaten 62 from 36 balls. The victory propelled Super Giants to third place in the table.
