Champion jockey Sean Bowen is chasing his first victory at the Cheltenham Festival after a stellar career that includes over 1,250 wins and a reigning title. The 28-year-old from Pembrokeshire has amassed 210 wins this season, leading second-placed Harry Skelton by 107 victories. Despite his success, Bowen has yet to land a winner at Cheltenham.

Bowen's best chance may come in the prestigious Gold Cup on Friday aboard Haiti Couleurs, trained by Rebecca Curtis. The nine-year-old has already won the Welsh and Irish Grand Nationals and could add Cheltenham's top prize to his CV. Bowen praised the horse's preparation and believes he's capable of winning.

The Welsh jockey also has mounts in other major races, including Wade Out in the National Hunt Chase and Ammes in the Fred Winter Hurdle. With multiple opportunities across the four-day meeting, Bowen is optimistic about finally breaking his Cheltenham duck.
