Mikel Arteta may call them 'finishers,' but the football world knows them as super subs — players who change games from the bench. This ranking counts down the top 10 most impactful substitutes in Premier League history, based on goals, assists, and consistency. From Theo Walcott’s record 14 assists as a sub to Victor Anichebe’s 13 goals off the bench, these players thrived in late-game roles.
Daniel Sturridge and Olivier Giroud made the list for their clutch contributions, while legends like Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Edin Dzeko loom larger in the full ranking. The article also notes near-misses like Adam le Fondre and Hernan Crespo, who showed flashes but lacked longevity in the role.
