Formula 1 organisers say the ongoing Middle East conflict will not disrupt the Australian Grand Prix this weekend. Melbourne race director Travis Auld confirmed that despite travel disruptions affecting around 1,000 staff members, all teams and drivers will arrive on time for the season-opening event.

Close to 1,000 personnel have had to rearrange flights after the US and Israel launched attacks against Iran, causing retaliatory strikes across the region. An estimated 500 staff members are reportedly being flown from Europe on charter planes to ensure their timely arrival in Australia.

Auld stated that Formula 1 has taken charge of reorganising travel for teams, drivers, and essential personnel. With key air routes through Qatar and the United Arab Emirates impacted, the sport's governing body worked to secure alternative arrangements. The Australian Grand Prix will proceed as scheduled, with organisers assuring fans they won't notice any difference in the event's execution.
