Arvid Lindblad achieved his childhood dream by becoming Britain's youngest Formula 1 driver at 18 years old. The Racing Bulls rookie finished eighth in his debut at the Australian Grand Prix, briefly reaching third place on the opening lap after passing seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton and reigning title holder Lando Norris.

Lindblad's top-10 finish makes him the third youngest points scorer in F1 history at 18 years and seven months, behind Mercedes' Kimi Antonelli and Red Bull's Max Verstappen. The Swedish-British driver, whose mother is of Indian descent, joined Red Bull's junior programme at 13 and was fast-tracked through junior categories after impressing former motorsport adviser Helmut Marko.

His confidence was evident from the start, where he demonstrated the aggressive racing style that has defined his rapid rise. Lindblad credited Hamilton as a 'big reason' for his F1 career, having fallen in love with the sport watching the British driver on television. The rookie outperformed his more experienced teammate Liam Lawson, who finished 13th, in what marks the biggest regulation change in the sport's recent history.
