Britain's Amy Hunt charged to 200m glory to secure her second gold medal of the European Championships in Birmingham. The 24-year-old, who already triumphed in the 100m, recorded a season's best time of 22.19 seconds to cross the line first. Hunt aims to become the first athlete to win four gold medals at a single championship.

Asher-Smith was beaten to silver by just 0.01 seconds by Ireland's Rhasidat Adeleke, who set a new national record. While finishing third, Dina Asher-Smith claimed her ninth European medal, a tally surpassed only by Irena Szewinska.

Hunt is set to compete in the women's and mixed 4x100m relay events later. She stated there will be "no celebrations and no champagne until Sunday night" as she looks to prove Britain is the best sprinting nation in Europe.
