Alex Marquez claimed a comfortable victory at the Spanish Grand Prix, halting Marco Bezzecchi's five-race winning streak. The Ducati-Gresini rider, who turned 30 on Thursday, triumphed from fifth on the grid at Jerez, finishing 1.903 seconds ahead of Aprilia's Bezzecchi. It was his second consecutive MotoGP win at the circuit, having also won here last year on his way to his first premier class victory.

The race proved far less dramatic than Saturday's rain-soaked sprint, which Marc Marquez won after a late bike change. On Sunday, the older Marquez brother started on pole but lost the lead to Alex on turn six of lap two, before crashing out five turns later. Fabio di Giannantonio completed the podium in third, with Jorge Martin finishing just off the podium in fourth.

Bezzecchi's streak included the final two races of last season and the first three of this year, dating back to Alex's Malaysia victory six months ago. The result extends his championship lead over Martin to 11 points, while Di Giannantonio climbs to third in the standings. Marc Marquez sits 44 points back in fifth, with Alex now seventh overall after securing his best result of the season.
