Marco Bezzecchi claimed victory at the Italian Grand Prix at Mugello, extending his championship lead over teammate Jorge Martin. The Aprilia rider secured his fourth win of the season, fighting back after Francesco Bagnaia briefly led, and now holds a commanding 17-point advantage in the standings.

Aprilia celebrated a historic home race, achieving their first-ever one-two finish in the premier class as Italian bikes dominated Mugello. Martin had set a MotoGP speed record of 229mph on Friday, while two-time champion Bagnaia settled for third. Reigning champion Marc Marquez returned from surgery and finished seventh, his first complete race since March.

The race saw notable absences as Alex Marquez and Johann Zarco missed Mugello following heavy crashes at the Catalan GP. British rider Cal Crutchlow stepped in for Zarco but retired midway through. With seven races complete, Bezzecchi stands firmly atop the championship, 102 points ahead of Marquez with Martin hot pursuit.
