Five Northern Ireland boxers are one win away from securing a Commonwealth Games medal. Kaci Rock, Michaela Walsh, Jansseen Hill, Garyn Mc Allister, and Willie John Mc Cartan will all compete in the quarter-finals next Tuesday and Wednesday.

Defending champion Michaela Walsh faces Scotland's Lara Brown, while welterweight Kaci Rock competes against Niue's Karen Te Ruki Pasene. Heavyweight Garyn Mc Allister is set to box Ghana's Jibril Muntari. In other quarter-final matchups, light-heavyweight Jansseen Hill will face England's Chantelle Reid, and super-heavyweight Willie John Mc Cartan meets Ghana's Daniel Plange.

Other Northern Ireland boxers in contention include Louis Rooney, Nicole Clyde, JP Hale, Jude Gallagher, Eoghan Quinn, Caitlin Fryers, and Jon Mc Connell, with various stages of the tournament scheduled from Friday, July 24th, through Saturday, August 1st.
