World Cup 2026 Final Halftime Extended

The upcoming World Cup final's half-time break is anticipated to extend to around 20-25 minutes, a significant increase from the usual 15 minutes. This extended interval is largely due to an 11-minute entertainment show planned for the center circle.

While FIFA sources indicate a roughly 20-minute break, one possibility involves the standard 15-minute halftime followed by the 11-minute performance. The laws of the game, overseen by Ifab, stipulate a halftime break not exceeding 15 minutes. A similar extended break occurred during last year's Club World Cup final, lasting 24 minutes for a performance featuring artists like Coldplay.

The halftime show for the World Cup final will feature a star-studded lineup, including Madonna, Shakira, and BTS, with Justin Bieber recently added. The final is scheduled to kick off at 15:00 local time, preceded by a closing ceremony featuring various performers and Jennifer Hudson singing the US national anthem. Spain has already secured a spot in the final.
