A former women's football coach has been banned from the sport for 12 years. Ryan Hamilton, ex-boss of Sutton Coldfield Town Women, was found to have bombarded players with explicit images and sexual propositions. The Football Association's misconduct hearing detailed how he used Snapchat and WhatsApp to send pictures of his genitals and videos of himself masturbating.

The FA's regulatory commission concluded Hamilton abused his position of trust in a 'misogynistic and sexually inappropriate' way. Five women, including four players, reported his behavior over two years. They described a 'verbally aggressive and bullying management style' that left them feeling belittled and fearing repercussions for speaking out.

Hamilton denied the charges but showed 'no introspection, contrition or remorse.' The panel found 23 of 24 charges proven, calling his submitted document a near-admission. His immediate suspension sends a clear message about accountability in sport, especially in women's football where coaches hold significant influence over vulnerable athletes.
