Arsenal have reached an agreement with Besiktas for the transfer of Belgian forward Leandro Trossard. The 31-year-old has been granted permission to travel to Istanbul for a medical examination. Trossard, whose contract with Arsenal extends until 2027, joined the Gunners from Brighton in January 2023 for an initial fee of £21m plus add-ons.

Besiktas confirmed the commencement of negotiations for Trossard's permanent transfer. During his time at Arsenal, Trossard has contributed 36 goals and 34 assists in 174 appearances, playing a crucial role in Mikel Arteta's team that won the Premier League title last season. He was a significant contributor in the Champions League final and made 21 league starts.

Internationally, Trossard was a key player for Belgium in the recent World Cup, starting all six matches and scoring twice as the team reached the quarter-finals.
