Stephen Constantine has been reappointed head coach of Rwanda's men's national team on a two-year contract, returning to the role he first held from May 2014 to January 2015. The 63-year-old Englishman will leave his current managerial position with Cypriot club APEA Akrotiri to take charge of the team on March 16. The London-born coach previously managed India after his first stint with Rwanda.

Constantine brings extensive international coaching experience to the role, having managed teams in Nepal, Malawi, Sudan, and Pakistan alongside his previous work with Rwanda and India. The Rwanda Football Federation praised his "leadership, technical expertise and dedication" in a statement announcing the appointment. His diverse career has taken him to some of football's more offbeat locations across Africa and Asia.

The appointment comes as Rwanda aims to improve its FIFA ranking of 130th and qualify for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations for only the second time in their history. The team made their Afcon debut in 2004 and has been working to build on that appearance. Constantine's first match in charge will be against Grenada in Kigali as part of the biennial FIFA Series friendly tournament.
