The overhead camera system, suspended by cables from a height of over 20 metres, malfunctioned after its supporting cable caught fire and began smoking in the first half.

The camera plummeted just inside the touchline near Hungary's warm-up area, landing approximately two metres from a cameraman stationed below. Fortunately, no spectators or officials sustained injuries during the incident, allowing play to resume after a brief drinks break while groundskeepers cleared the equipment from the field.
