Shankland Unfazed by Rangers Pressure

Lawrence Shankland does not feel "too much pressure" to establish himself at Rangers after joining from Hearts in May. The 30-year-old striker, who represented Scotland at the World Cup, sits third on the Scottish Premiership's all-time scorers list with 80 goals across spells at Aberdeen, Dundee United and Hearts.

He trails former Celtic forward Leigh Griffiths and departed Rangers captain James Tavernier by 12 goals. Speaking from a pre-season training camp in Spain, Shankland said: "I don't actually feel too much pressure. Obviously, when you go everywhere and you get a fresh start, you need to get yourself, try and make yourself the first name on the team sheet and that's what I'm going to try and do here as well."

"I've always wanted to prove myself. I want to make the most of every opportunity I get. I'm buzzing to be here, buzzing to get started and really looking forward to it."
