New Scotland head coach Sebastien Pocognoli faces his first home match against North Macedonia, with questions over his preferred three-at-the-back system. Al-Ettifaq's Hendry is unavailable, but Pocognoli is unlikely to abandon the system despite North Macedonia's potential tactical shifts. Swansea City's Stephen Welsh and Dinamo Zagreb's Scott Mc Kenna have both performed well, while Brondy's Luis Binks impressed on debut.
Stoke City's Luke Graham could make his first appearance, while Brentford's Aaron Hickey may return after being rested. Pundits have suggested moving Hickey to right-back to accommodate winger Ben Gannon-Doak, though this would mean dropping Tottenham Hotspur's Nathan Patterson. Captain Andy Robertson is expected to start despite being substituted late in the previous match.
