Ange Postecoglou has ruled out a return to managing Celtic, despite the "amazing experience" he enjoyed during his two-year spell at the club. The Australian lifted five trophies and won over fans with his attacking style before leaving for Tottenham Hotspur in 2023.

Postecoglou, who was sacked by Nottingham Forest in October, told The Overlap it's not in his nature to return to a previous position. "I don't go back," he said. "I don't think that's been my career." He remains fond of Celtic but insists his next move will be something new where he can make an impact.

The 60-year-old manager reflected positively on his time at Celtic, praising the passionate fanbase and intense rivalry with Rangers. "I lived and breathed it there," he said, sharing how fans were more ecstatic when Rangers lost the Europa League final than when Celtic won the double.

Despite being linked with Celtic as they search for a permanent manager, Postecoglou confirmed he won't revisit previous roles. "It doesn't diminish the affection I have for Celtic. It was a great experience," he added, "but I won't go back. It's not how my career plays out."
