Bayern Munich midfielder Jamal Musiala has been diagnosed with temporary absence seizures caused by a neurological dysfunction, following his collapse during a friendly match against Heidenheim. The incident marked the second time in four days that the 23-year-old had collapsed, with the first occurring during a 3-1 victory over RB Leipzig in Munich. In an Instagram post, Musiala reassured fans, stating the condition is treatable and part of his everyday life. He praised the medical care he is receiving and expressed optimism, thanking FC Bayern, his family, and friends for their support.

Following the Heidenheim match, Bayern sporting director Max Eberl confirmed the club was aware of the situation and that Musiala would address the matter publicly. Musiala had previously missed the first six months of last season due to an ankle injury sustained at the 2025 Club World Cup but made a strong return, participating in three of Germany's four games at the 2026 World Cup.

The recurring collapses have raised concerns, but Musiala remains positive about his recovery and treatment outlook.
